Our Values and Ethos
We’re guided by a set of principles that shape how we support families and young people:
Compassion
Underpinning everything we do at the clinic is compassion. Every interaction, whether with a child, parent, or professional, is grounded in empathy and care. We understand that each journey is different, and we respond with patience, warmth, and highly skilled support. We are committed to making everyone feel safe, understood, and supported.
Acceptance and Flexibility
Everyone deserves to feel seen and valued. We try to create a space where young people can be completely themselves. There’s no pressure to make eye contact, sit still or use language as the primary way of communicating. We are try to adapt the way we work to accommodate each young person and family.
Equality and Diversity
We don’t position ourselves as the experts in your life. Your experiences and insights matter just as much as ours. We celebrate difference in all its forms. Every child and family brings their own culture, background, identity, and perspective—and we honour that. Whether it’s how someone communicates, expresses themselves, or experiences the world, we see diversity as a strength. We fully embrace neurodiversity—recognising conditions like autism and ADHD as natural differences, not deficits. Our clinic is a space where everyone belongs, and where varied experiences are not just accepted, but deeply valued.
Advocacy
We work in partnership with families, making sure you feel heard, respected, and involved in every decision that affects your child’s wellbeing. We help young people discover and celebrate their unique abilities, and support them in advocating for themselves. Families are at the heart of our services, and we actively involve them in shaping what we do.
