Dr Laura Marshall
Clinical Psychologist

Key Experience

  • Has worked in a variety of mental health settings both within the NHS and the private sector since 2011

  • Completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Oxford

  • Experience of working with a wide range of children and young people with behavioural and emotional difficulties, including those with co-occurring autism and/or ADHD

  • Extensive previous experience working within NHS inpatient and crisis/outreach services with young people with a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, emotion dysregulation, psychosis and post-traumatic stress disorder.

  • Experience in conducting autism and ADHD assessments as part of an MDT including ADOS-2 and WISC-V assessments - due to commence DISCO assessments shortly.

 

 

Special Interests

  • Working with children and young people experiencing emotional distress or mental health problems, including low mood, anxiety, OCD, sleep problems

  • Working with neurodivergent young people and their families

  • Working with young people experiencing emotion dysregulation

  • Working with young people who have experiences of trauma – Dr Laura Marshall is trained in a range of trauma therapies including EMDR Level 1

  • Dr Laura Marshall draws on a range of therapeutic models as part of clinical practice including cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, compassion-focused therapy and dialectical behaviour therapy
